Citi’s Global CCO Reinvents Himself … in Fintech
Four months after retiring as global head of compliance at Citigroup, John Davidson has reemerged in a new venture - his own consultancy firm, Pirnie Advisory, that looks to advise FinTech and RegTech companies.
Prior to serving as CCO at Citigroup - a position he held for 3 years - Davidson had stints as head of enterprise risk management CAO within risk management. Before joining Citi, Davidson was chief business development officer at CME Group. He also worked for more than 12 years in senior operations roles at Morgan Stanley.
It's unusual for fintech and regtech consultants to come from the the financial services front and middle offices, as Davidson is doing. It's more common for them to sport IT or technology pedigrees, like Rhomaios Ram, who was a founding partner of Deutsche Bank’s digital bank, and Bussmann, the former UBS CIO.
