Enforcement Vet Named Director of SEC Fort Worth Office

The SEC named David Peavler as the Director of the Fort Worth, TX Regional Office. He rejoins the SEC from HD Vest Inc., where he has served as General Counsel since 2017.
Mr. Peavler previously spent nearly 15 years with the SEC, serving in senior Division of Enforcement roles with the Fort Worth Regional Office, most recently as an Associate Director. As an Associate Director, he headed the agency’s enforcement efforts in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas.
Prior to his initial stint with the SEC, Mr. Peavler served as a staff attorney with ConocoPhillips and as a law partner with Locke Liddell & Sapp. He obtained he law degree from University of Texas School of Law.
