Best Legal Brands In The World
Consulting firm Acritas published its Global Elite Law Firm Brand Index for 2017, with Baker & McKenzie ranked #1 – as it has been since 2010, the inception of the ranking.
In case you’re unaware, consulting firm Acritas conducts a survey of in-house counsel to measure the brands of global law firms. Criteria include name recognition, favorability, and the likelihood that the respondent would hire a firm for a cross-border matter.
According to Acritas CEO Lisa Hart Shepherd, firms in the top 10 have a “very deep global spread.” She adds that “some of the U.S. elite seem to be losing ground.”
- Skadden Arps might be the strongest brand in the U.S., but that doesn’t mean they crack the Global Top 10.
- Fact is, several U.S. firms saw their brands drop this year - Skadden (to 12th), Latham (16th), Sidley Austin (19th.
That said, here are the Top 10:
- Baker & McKenzie
- Clifford Chance
- Freshfields
- Linklaters
- Allen & Overy
- Jones Day
- DLA Piper
- Hogan Lovells
- White & Case
- Norton Rose Fulbright
Congratulations to all.
