A-Rod is Keynote Speaker at Wall Street Conference

Now batting for Monument Capital Management is former Yankees slugger and 14-time All-Star Alex Rodriguez.
A-Rod is slated to be the keynote speaker this month at a major Wall Street conference in Texas, where he will talk about the real estate investing business - Monument Capital Management, an investment fund that owns apartment buildings in Texas, Florida, Georgia and some mid-Atlantic states.
The January 19th conference at which A-Rod will speak is one of the biggest in the country for “emerging managers” - funds run by women or minorities. A-Rod, who retired from the Yankees in August, will be joined by 2 ex-NBA stars turned investors - former San Antonio Spurs center David Robinson and ex-LA Clippers forward Grant Hill.
Monument isn’t A-Rod’s first dip into the business world. The slugger was CEO and 95% owner of another real estate investment company, Newport Property Ventures, with Constantine Scurtis, the brother of his ex-wife, Cynthia.
