U.S. Regulator May Seek Pay from Former Wells Fargo Execs

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on Friday revoked some of the terms of Wells Fargo's September settlement with regulators.

 

For one thing, that means that Wells Fargo has lost its right to be exempted from some executive compensation rules. More significantly, the bank must seek permission before appointing new leadership. Specifically, the settlement had exempted Wells Fargo from controls on "golden parachute" payments to executives.
